Issues

The Pleasant Plains / “North End Shaw” neighborhood has seen significant growth in the last 5-10 years. That will continue with further development such as East Towers (under construction) and WRECO/Bond Bread (planned). While these projects will bring much-needed housing and bolster local businesses, neighborhood issues such as pedestrian safety and accessibility must remain at the forefront.

Pedestrian & Transportation Safety

Safe, accessible streets are essential for a thriving, connected community. I am committed to advancing traffic-calming measures, securing safer crosswalks, and advocating for infrastructure that protects pedestrians, transit riders, and cyclists alike across all of 1E.

Public Safety

Every neighbor deserves to feel secure, supported, and valued in our community. I support holistic, community-first safety strategies that strengthen neighborhood relationships, improve public lighting and infrastructure, and coordinate closely with city agencies to address the root causes of crime.

Economic Development

Balanced, community-centered growth strengthens our local economy while honoring the distinct character of Shaw, Pleasant Plains, Park View, and the surrounding neighborhoods. I support initiatives that foster independent local businesses, enhance public spaces, and bolster inclusive development that serves long-time residents and new neighbors alike.
